 Randee Kilgore

Stitching since the early 1980's and designing cross stitch since 1996,  Randee Kilgore graduated from USF with a BA in Art Education, and became a picture framer in 1978.

In 1986  Randee opened her own custom frame shop & gallery, Lasting Impressions, in Palm Harbor, Florida. Eventually, the shop evolved to include an extensive counted cross stitch department. When the business was sold in 1996, RK Portfolio Cross Stitch Designs was born.

  "I just love color, and I have always been drawn toward fabric designs and motifs.  It is so gratifying when stitchers appreciate my work.  Many of my images portray animals and nature within decorative borders."

Ikki Matumoto

Ikki Matsumoto came to Sanibel Island in 1975 and became enamored with the native birds, fish, and wildlife found on the island.  “I began painting sandpipers on the beach with a humorous twist and it became a hit tourist item. I began silkscreen printing which suited my style of flat color and design.  I like birds and the pattern they create; the pattern of the wings and feathers.”   

 A student of artist Charles Harper, Ikki became an illustrator and designer. He illustrated the best-seller, The Joy of Cooking.  Ikki was chosen by First Lady Nancy Reagan to paint an Easter egg which is now in the collection of the SmithsonianMuseum.  

In 2003, Ikki asked RK Portfolio to produce some of his images as counted cross stitch patterns and have been very popular with stitchers everywhere.

 Sadly,  Ikki Matsumoto passed away in early 2014 but his spirit and joy live on through his family and his artwork.
